The Yearloom Team

Welcome! This is the new home for stories and updates from the team behind Yearloom.

What is Yearloom?

Yearloom is an app for seeing your life as a timeline. Birthdays, moves, first days, graduations, trips, the tiny moments that turn out to matter: you capture them once, and Yearloom lays them out on a single canvas you can scroll through, share, and keep adding to for years.

A life is easier to appreciate when you can actually see it. That is the whole idea. And because a life is rarely lived alone, Yearloom is built for sharing too. You can share your timeline with the people you trust, and compare timelines side by side to see where your stories overlap: the year you and your sister lived in different countries, the summer your parents met, the week your best friend moved to your city.

Why a blog?

Three reasons:

  1. Product updates. When we ship something new, this is where we will explain what it is, why we built it, and how to get the most out of it.
  2. Stories about memory keeping. Timelines, family history, photo archives, and the craft of holding onto the moments that matter. We think about this constantly and we want to share what we learn.
  3. A look behind the curtain. Yearloom is built by a small team that cares a great deal about doing things well. Sometimes the story of how a feature came to be is worth telling on its own.
